O-Tool by IBE Optics
made in Germany!
Versatile and compact device for measuring modulation transfer functions of photographic lenses or similar systems at an infinite object distance. Future proof!
More precise than any collimator setup
The trough focus measurement helps in getting the perfect shimming value. Because the O-Tool uses the best MTF value at infinite.
Measurement is carried out in real time
at the three typical spatial frequencies 10lp/mm, 20lp/mm and 40lp/mm.
Little need for space
The device is easy to set up and fits into almost every space.
Motorized switching
between tangential and sagittal Slit alignment using a integrated filter wheel
Visual representation
of point and line functions on a color screen
Measurement
of field curvature and longitudinal chromatic aberration
O-Tool
The IB(E Optics O-Tool is a versatile and compact device for measuring the modulation transfer function of photographic lenses or similar systems at an infinite object distance. The measurement is carried out in real time at the three typical spatial frequencies 10lp/mm, 20lp/mm and 40lp/mm (line pairs per millimeter). In addition, a system can be examined at any user-defined frequency.
The O-Tool offers
- a Visual representation of point and line functions on a color screen
- Simultaneous MTF measurement at any three spatial frequencies
- MTF as a function of image height and as a function of back-focal distance
- Motorized switching between tangential and sagittal Slit alignment using a integrated filter wheel.
- Real-time measurement supports fine-tuning of lenses during optics design and mechanical assembly
- Easily switch between different spectral weighting functions
- Measurement of field curvature and longitudinal chromatic aberration
- Determination of the investment dimension
- Fast change between measurement on the axis and in Field
- Rotation of the optics by 360° to get information about the whole get sensor area
- Little need for space
- Automatic exposure time adjustment
- Automatic tracking of minimum and maximum MTF values during the optics adjustment of a system
- Deeper insight into the optics calculation through representation various graphics such as edge image to determine the MTF value
Software and operation
Operation and control of the most important Hardware components via mouse, joystick and Function keys of the PC keyboard
- Graphical (via bar charts) and digital representation of the MTF values and their minimum and maximum deflections.
- Graphic representation of the MTF curve in the coordinate system
- Software-controlled manual focusing as well as automatic Focusing at any user-selected spatial frequency
- Display of the focus position and measurement of the focus shift
- Data recording or data extraction via Excel
- Simple measurement of aperture-dependent focus shift
- Operating system: Windows 10. All necessary drivers and Libraries for the required software packages and Third-party hardware components are included
